Bamboo Flooring Accessories
One Sided Reducer - More common uses against solid objects such as sliding doors
or other areas where common quarter round would not look proper. Vertical height
flush reducer from material to other floor coverings such as vinyl and carpeting.
Baby Threshold - Also used at sliding door areas. This is the most versatile trim
piece I've found that can be adapted with the use of a table saw for floor coverings
that have a slight vertical height difference. |
T Molding - Used to transition one floor covering to another, typically ceramic
tile with the same vertical height.
Overlap Reducer - Commonly used for floating floors or engineered products over
1/2"in thickness that transition to other floor coverings of lower vertical height.
Carpet, ceramic tile, and vinyl are examples. Not all manufacturers make this threshold.
Baseboard - Installed against the drywall or plaster board.
Quarter Round or Shoe molding - Installed after the floor against existing baseboard
to allow proper expansion space.

Why Bamboo?
Hottest trend in current floor world. Bamboo is 25% Harder Than
Red Oak, 12% Harder Than Rock Maple. It is more dimensionally table than commonly
used wood flooring including oak and maple. Given its hardness, durability, beauty,
and environmental friendliness, bamboo is a simple alternative to traditional hardwood
flooring in that:
- Uniquely attractive
- Strong and resilient
- Dimensionally stable
- Moisture and stain resistant
- Environmentally friendly
Besides its beauty, hardness and durability, a substance derives its
value from environment friendly characteristic. Fast growing, self regenerating
and rapidly renewable also enable bamboo an alternative to the world's extremely
rare and preservative treated hardwood.
