25-Year Pre-Finish Warranty

FloorUS warrants that the aluminum oxide pre-finish on the bamboo flooring will not wear through for 25 years from the date of purchase to the original consumer purchaser for residential applications. Molding and commercial applications are not covered. Finish will not wear through under normal residential use and with proper maintenance. Our installation and maintenance instructions must be followed as a condition for this warranty to have effect.

The sole remedy pursuant to this warranty is available to the original purchaser only and shall be limited to the repair, refinishing or board replacement of the defective flooring. If the product cannot be repaired, refinished or replaced after a reasonable number of attempts, FloorUS will upon request, refund the original purchase price of the defective floor on a pro-rated basis. Repair or replacement of all or any of the bamboo flooring is at the discretion of FloorUS and all labor costs will not be covered. Any other cost associated with the installation, repair or replacement will be covered under this warranty.

This warranty excludes any indentations, scratches, or damage caused by lack of proper maintenance, misuse, excessive heat or excessive dryness, negligence, spiked heel shoes, pets, insects, water, moisture, erosion, pebbles, sand, other abrasives, insufficient protection on furniture, wet mopping, or failure to follow all the written maintenance instructions. Protect floors when moving furniture or when equipment or appliances are left standing on newly installed floors.

Natural floors, due to their nature, are subject to seasonal contraction and expansion. It is the customers' responsibility to provide and maintain necessary humidity levels. It is recommended that you maintain a relative humidity of 35% and 50% at room temperature in your home by using a humidifier and/or dehumidifier to minimize movement of your bamboo floor.

Color variations are a natural occurrence in flooring due to age and exposure to ultraviolet sunlight. Harmful ultraviolet sunlight will over time, fade, and bleach and discolor bamboo flooring. FloorUS cannot be held responsible for any variations in tone, which may occur on the boards of a same product, and the differences between samples and the products used during the sale process. Sunlight and UV rays can and will cause the staining, fading, gloss reduction and change color in wood flooring. Therefore, fading and discoloration due to exposure to sunlight and its UV rays are not covered by this warranty.

A minimum temperature of 70 F (21 C) should be maintained prior to, during, and 48 hours after installation. Sub-floor must be dry and within four per cent of the moisture content of the bamboo flooring. All resilient floors are subject to indentations by furniture and other objects (e.g. women's stiletto heels that have too small a bearing surface). Owners are advised to protect new floors with suitable furniture rests.

In areas where flooring is to be installed, the sub-floors must be smooth, level, clean, free of contaminates, and dry. The installer shall be responsible for the performance of the sub-floor.

Installation over radiant-heating floor systems are not recommended and will void this warranty. Responsibility for final inspection and approval falls to the customer and installer prior to permanent installation. It is the installer responsibility to check color, finish and quality before installation. If your installer is not satisfied with our flooring prior to installation, then do not install the floor. FloorUS is not responsible for any costs associated with repairing or replacing boards that were installed with evident defects.

This document is the complete and exclusive statement of the manufacturer's warranty, and is in lieu of all other expressed and/or statutory warranties. The manufacturer assumes no liability for incidental or consequential damages. The sole remedy provided herein is the repair, refinish, or replacement of defective products, or refund for defective products.
